NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – James Madison lacrosse occupies the #22 ranking in the latest IWLCA Division I Coaches' Poll, as announced on Monday morning.
JMU improves three spots from last week, occupying the #25 ranking in the final poll of April.
The recognition comes on the heels of JMU's second consecutive American Conference Championship, where it defeated USF in the title game, 17-7. The Dukes are winners of
seven straight and nine of their last 10.
JMU (13-6) will head to Evanston, Ill., to take on #16 Notre Dame in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship at the Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium on Friday, May 8. The winner of that game will face #2 Northwestern on Sunday, May 10.
The Dukes' first round game against Notre Dame will air live on ESPN+ with the first draw scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
