HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison men's basketball program announced the addition of sharpshooter Cavan Reilly on Monday afternoon, its fifth portal addition for the 2026-27 roster.
Reilly, who is from Lovettsville, Va., spent the last four seasons at Delaware, where he played in 95 games (63 starts) for the Blue Hens. He is a career 37.8 percent shooter from three, having made 166 treys in three-plus seasons.
In his career, he has 43 games with 10 or more points, including four 20-point outings. As a freshman at Delaware in 2022-23, he set the freshman three-point percentage program record, shooting 45.3 percent (34-75) from behind the arc.
"Cavan is an experienced guard who has proven to be an efficient scorer at this level," Head Coach
Preston Spradlin said. "He is a high-level shooter that will thrive in our offense, and his versatility to score at all three levels allows him to impact the game in a variety of ways. We are excited to welcome another Virginia native back to the Commonwealth!"

- Averaged 9.2 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game
- Had 14 games with 10 or more points
- Led the team in steals per game, averaging 1.3 per contest
- Shot 39.4 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from deep, also was 27-34 (.794) from the free throw line.

2022-23 (Delaware):
- Played in 29 games as a freshman
- Averaged 5.4 points per game
- Shot 34-of-75 from three for a clip of 45.3 percent
- Mark of 45.3 percent set a single-season program record for a freshman.
