Václav Tichý were each selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team.
This is the third consecutive season Tichý has been recognized with the accolade, while DeLeon, Hake and Seibal took home the honor for the first time in their respective careers.
DeLeon, a junior kinesiology major, competed in 20 rounds, producing a 73.40 stroke average and turning in one of the top finishes at the Sun Belt Championship. His top result of the year came at the conference tournament, where he tied for 12th. His lowest round occurred at the JT Poston Invitational, with a 68 (-2). The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native finished the year with 58 birdies and 10 rounds at par or better.
Hake, a junior finance major, played in all 33 rounds and 11 tournaments for JMU this year. He held the team's second-best scoring average, at 72.42 strokes. Hake produced the second-most birdies for JMU, with 100 and also had six eagles, tying the program's single-season record. The Brentwood, Tenn., native carded a career-low 67 (-5) in the second round of the Whirlwind Invitational and had six top-25 finishes, which was highlighted by a pair of top 10s.
Seibal, a senior communication studies major, played in 27 rounds for JMU, compiling a 73.56 stroke average. He fired a career-low 66 (-6) in the opening round of the Whirlwind Invitational and produced his best overall final finish of the year at the Mountaineer Invitational, tying for 13th. The Gilbert, Az., native finished the season with 76 birdies and three top-20 finishes.
Tichý, a senior quantitative finance major, rounded out his career as a Third Team All-Sun Belt selection. Playing in 30 rounds and 10 events for JMU, he led the team with a 71.59 stroke average. He finished the year with six top-25 finishes and three inside the top 10. The Prague, Czech Republic, native had a season-best sixth-place finish at the Donald Ross Collegiate and carded 15 rounds of par or better, including five scores in the 60s. Tichý also led the team with 106 birdies.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a sophomore or older and have competed in a specific percentage of events during their respective seasons.
