Men’s Golf Rolls Out 2026-27 Schedule

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison men's golf rolled out its schedule for the 2026-27 season on Friday, July 24.
The Dukes will compete in 10 tournaments across the school year, with four competitions in the fall and six in the spring. JMU is coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2026 Sun Belt Championship.
The 2026-27 season tees off with a trip to Phoenix for the Bomb Darts Birds Collegiate (Sept. 7-8) and a return trip to the JT Poston Invitational (Sept. 13-15). During the 2025-26 season, the Dukes finished fifth and recorded the third-lowest 54-hole score in program history at the Bomb Darts Birds Collegiate (then Whirlwind Invitational) and tallied a fourth-place showing at the JT Poston.
After the opening two tournaments, JMU will close the fall portion of its slate with debut appearances at the Testudo Cup (Oct. 5-6) in Ijamsville, Md., and the Qubein Cup (Oct. 19-20) in Greensboro, N.C.
Following a break from competition, the Dukes return to action at the Compadres Collegiate (Feb. 7-9) in Cancún, Mexico. JMU will then continue its spring season in Southern Pines, N.C., at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate (March 8-10).
JMU's spring season rolls on with a trip to Auburn, Ala., for the Tiger Invitational (March 15-16) and the Giles-Spratley Collegiate (April 5-6), hosted by University of Richmond in Midlothian, Va. The Dukes will return to the Everett Buick GMC Classic (April 12-13) in Little Rock, Ark., to close the regular season.
The Dukes return four players from the 2025-26 season, headlined by Michael Hake, who finished with a stroke average of 72.42 with six top-25 finishes. JMU will also add four freshmen to its 2026-27 roster in Blake Hartman (Dublin, Ohio), Henry Holland (Charlotte, N.C.), Charles McPherson (Durham, N.C.), and Finn Watson (Arlington, Va.).
The 2027 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship will take place April 26-29 in Madison, Miss., at Annandale Golf Club. The Dukes finished fifth at the 2026 championship, tied for their best finish since joining the league in 2022-23.
