WAYNESVILLE, N.C. - Led by Ethan Anderson's career performance, James Madison men's golf finished tied for 11th place at the JT Poston Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina.
JMU shot an 8-under 844 (286-276-282) over the three-day tournament, climbing as high as 10th place overall before wrapping up tied for 11th in the 17-team field.
Ethan Anderson secured his first top-10 finish as a Duke, shooting a career-best 8-under 205 that tied for the sixth-best 54-hole total in program history. He also shot a 6-under 65 in round two, the third-best low round total in program history.
Henry Holland also made noise during round two, sinking the first hole in one of the season for the Dukes and the first of his career, when he needed just one swing for hole 17.
The Dukes are off until Monday, Oct. 5 when they had up to the PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, Md., for the Testudo Cup, hosted by Maryland.
