HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison's Sun Belt home opener against Marshall will kick off at 3:45 p.m. ET, on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Bridgeforth Stadium and will be aired live on ESPNU, the Sun Belt Conference announced on Monday.

The Dukes are 2-4 all time against the Thundering Herd in a series that began in 1987. Last season, JMU topped Marshall, 35-23, in Huntington, West Virginia.

Of note, no tickets remain for the game, which is part of JMU's Family Weekend. Any students or fans wishing to attend the game should buy through the official secondary ticket marketplace, SeatGeek.

The contest will be JMU's third on linear television so far this season and the second on ESPNU. The Dukes opened the 2026 campaign against Liberty on ESPNU and played their Week 3 game at San Diego State on the CW.
