Kyle Ranson is in his first season with the James Madison football program in 2026, as he serves as a video operations assistant.

Ranson joins the Dukes after two seasons at Michigan State (2024-25) where he was assistant director of football technology. In that role, he was the lead operator for IGV replay, developing and implementing iPad organization and distribution while serving as primary contact for IGV/DVSport technical support. He managed ThunderCloud account creations and approvals and was led the video department for travel and A/V needs.

Prior to MSU, Ranson was a video assistant for two years at Florida (May 2022-July 2024). He supported all editing and filming across the football program and assisted in similar roles to that of Michigan State. He was also a video intern for a brief time with the Gators in the spring of 2022.

Ranson graduated from Eastern Michigan in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in communication. As an EMU student, Ranson was a video student for the Eagle football program.
