Jacob Hogarth joins James Madison men's basketball following a season at Gardner-Webb (2025-26) and a year at Iona (2024-25). The 6-foot-9 forward and native of Brooklyn, N.Y., has played in 51 career games and has averaged 7.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game during his career.
2025-26 (Gardner-Webb):
- Played in 28 games, starting 25 for the Runnin' Bulldogs
- Averaged 11.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game
- Shot 52.3 percent from the field (113-of-216) and 72.6 percent from the free-throw line (77-of-106)
- Scored in double figures 18 times; two games with 20 or more points.
- Season-high 23 points and corralled 23 rebounds against Brevard on Dec. 12, finishing 10-of-14 from the field
- Recorded 20 points versus Winthrop on Feb. 12
- 10 games with double-digit rebounds
2024-25 (Iona):
- Appeared in 18 games – including one start - for Iona, averaging 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds
- Had a season-high 18 minutes against Rice, scoring two points
- Season-high five rebounds against Cornell on Nov. 25, 2024
- Enrolled early at Iona in the Fall of 2023
High School:
- Played his final two high school seasons at South Kent School in Danbury, Conn.
- Helped lead South Kent to the NEPSAC Class III Championship in 2022-23
- Ranked No. 6 in Connecticut and No. 20 in New England by the New England Recruiting Report
- Transferred to South Kent after playing the first two high school seasons at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, N.Y.
