Getting to know Kelly...
Why did you choose JMU? The academics and I felt comfortable on campus. What is your major? Public Relations with a minor in Humanitarian Affairs What is your favorite? Food: Anything chocolate. My sweet tooth gets me in trouble! Movie: Tristan and Isolde Song: Too many; can't choose! Athlete: Michael Phelps What is something unique about you? I was classically trained in singing for almost 15 years. What are your favorite things to do off the court? I love to read - trashy novels, intellectual novels, anything that will distract me from reality. What is your favorite place on campus and why? I am a huge fan of East Campus Library. I have great views of campus, a coffee shop, and a quiet place to get work done. What is your favorite thing about JMU volleyball? Getting to play the sport I love with amazing people and coaching. What do you want to accomplish in the 2010 season? Become a good enough passer to appear in the serve-receive rotation...even if it only happens once! What is your favorite place you've traveled to with JMU volleyball? I loved the California trip. Even though we didn't see much, it was a cool campus and some great competition. What do you want to do after college? Ultimately own my own Public Relations firm. What is the best advice you have received? If you're not doing something you love, why bother doing it? What is your favorite JMU volleyball memory? Going to CAA championships my freshman year. It was a great experience and taught me a lot about what being a D1 athlete is all about.
