Kyle Yeager has been around college athletics his entire life. Kyle has been with JMU Athletics since June 2007 and is now the director of major gifts. In his current role, he is charged with raising capital for the new Convocation Center project, overseeing the JMU Wheel Club, assisting with all gift-in-kind contributions and serving as the Duke Club staff liaison to the Shenandoah Valley Duke Club region.
Prior to serving as the director of major gifts, Kyle served as the Duke Club director of premium seating and corporate giving. He oversaw all club & suite operations and coordination of policies and stewardship for sales and renewals, handled the creation and execution of club & suite events, was responsible for all gift-in-kind contributions and policies and served as staff liaison to the Shenandoah Valley Duke Club region.
As the director of business relations, Yeager assisted in premium seat and group ticket sales, was the liaison to Front Row Marketing and assisted in licensing for the athletics department, in addition to working with all areas of external operations in various roles.
In June 2007, Yeager was named director of corporate sales for JMU Athletics, allowing the Richmond, Virginia, native to be closer to family and friends. In that role, he was able to raise revenue in both cash and trade each year.
From 2004-2007, Yeager worked for the Ohio Valley Conference based in Nashville as the director of external affairs. Kyle was in charge of marketing, television, group tickets, web-streaming and sponsorships for the the OVC.
Prior to his time at the OVC, Kyle worked for the N.C. State Wolfpack Club, the university's athletic fundraising arm, where he was the point person for the football and baseball brick campaign. He also assisted in the selling of lifetime seat right licenses for both football and basketball.
Yeager is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in sports management to go with a Master of Science in sports leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.
The Yeager family bleeds purple and gold as Kyle is married to the former Heather Raynes, who is also a Harrisonburg native and a JMU graduate. She is the teacher head for the business department at Fort Defiance High School. The couple resides in Harrisonburg and have two children Leah and Graham.
When not working, Kyle can be found cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and seeking out the best BBQ in Harrisonburg. His greatest JMU sports memory was serving as the ball boy stationed under the basket when Kent Cululko hit the clutch basket to send the Dukes to the 1994 NCAA Tournament.
