LEWISBURG, Pa., Nov. 18, 2007 ? James Madison University women's swimming and diving added three event victories on day two to solidify its second-place finish in the Trials/Finals Invitational on Sunday at Bucknell University's Kinney Natatorium.
Fellow Colonial Athletic Association member Towson won the meet with 1,294 points while JMU came in second at 841. Host Bucknell was third with 722 points, followed by Binghamton with 289 and the College of New Jersey with 109.
Sophomore P.J. Naber (Chantilly, Va./Chantilly) earned JMU's third event victory of the meet with a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 51.85 seconds. She also swam in JMU's winning 200-yard freestyle relay on Saturday.
Freshman Lisa Colapietro (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) claimed first in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:23.80.
JMU's final win of the meet came in the 200-yard backstroke with senior Gailey Walters (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) reaching the wall in 2:07.87.
The Dukes, who sit at 3-3 in dual meet results this season, will now have an extended break through the holidays before resuming competition with a home meet against Northeastern on January 5 at 10 a.m.
