BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 25, 2007 ? The Florida Atlantic Owls defeated the James Madison University Dukes 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh when Blair Bodenmiller reached first on a fielder's choice and teammate Amber Jones scored to tie the game. Lauren Crandall came home on the throwing error by the second baseman to give the Owls the victory.

The game was scoreless through six innings when the Dukes got on the board in the top of the seventh.

Amber Kirk (Hamilton, Va./Loudon County) reached first on a single to left center and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Kirk advanced to third when Courtney Simons (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) grounded out to second base.

Meredith Felts (Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose) hit a single into shallow left field to score Kirk from third and give the Dukes a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the seventh before the Owls came back to win.

Branden Moss (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) pitched the entire game for the Dukes giving up two runs, one of which was earned, on four hits, and striking out four.

Opposing pitcher Jen Musillo also pitched a complete game for the Owls giving up one run, on four hits, and striking out six.

The Dukes will be in action again on Wednesday, Feb. 28 for a double header at Coppin State at 2 p.m.
