LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 13 James Madison field hockey used a pair of second-half goals to win 2-0 over Ball State, snapping a two-game losing-streak and moving to 6-2 overall.

Junior Miranda Rigg extended her team lead in goals (7) by scoring off a corner deflection just over five minutes into the second half. Sophomore Lisa Lejeune scored her third goal of the season, and first since Sept. 1, to double the JMU lead.

- Miranda Rigg broke the stalemate, deflecting in a hard hit from Lisa Lejeune off a penalty corner in the 41st minute of play.
- Lejeune tallied her own goal 15 minutes later when Rigg passed the ball in from the middle of the circle to the right side of the cage.
NUMBERS OF NOTE
- JMU earned 13 corners against Ball State, the most for the Dukes since taking 14 against Towson on Oct. 1, 2016.
- The Dukes outshot the Cardinals 15-4 with an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.
