BLACKSBURG, Va. – James Madison track & field had 20 top-10 finishes in the two-day Virginia Tech Challenge to wrap up the regular indoor season.
Dominique Johnson is now No. 3 in indoor history in the shot put.
DAY ONE
Erica Jackson and
Averi Witt started the Dukes off right in the mile going one, two. This marked Jackson's third first-place finish in an event this indoor season. Witt has finished in the top-10 of all three mile's she has run in.
Matasha Martin tied her personal best 5.60m long jump record to take fourth in the event
Tally Lott took 10
th in the 60m dash and wrapped up day one by taking eighth in the 200m dash
Sidra Morris tossed the weight throw 17.16m to take fifth in the event, while
Dominique Johnson's throw was far enough to put her in seventh

DAY TWO
Jantsen Wilson started the Dukes off with a third-place finish in the triple jump.
Brooke Manion,
Kayla Connelly and
Grace Eidson went three-four-five in the 1000m race. Manion and Connelly took on the event for the first time, while Eidson set a new personal best.
Sinead Sargeant,
Lilly Minor and
Sophie Bollinger continued the Dukes efforts in the 600m dash as they went two-three-four. Sargeant and Minor took on the event for the first time, while Eidson set a new personal best.
Morris and Johnson wrap up the field events going second and third in the event. Morris tossed the shot put 14.34m (47'2.25") while Johnson set a new personal record of 13.96m (45'9.75"). Johnson's throw is now No. 3 on the all-time indoor list in the event.
Erin Saunders and
Katie Fox wrapped up JMU's individual events in the 3000m. Saunders took fifth, while Fox took eighth as the Dukes finished with 19 in the top-10.
JMU wrapped up its indoor regular season with a second-place finish in the 4x400m relay.
The Dukes finished with 10 new JMU Indoor Top-10 marks and three school records.
