HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison track & field team recorded nine top-10 program marks and six event titles on Saturday afternoon at Sentara Park.

Graduate student
Skyla Davidson stole the show in the triple jump, producing a personal-best leap of 12.86m (42' – 2.25") for first. Coming into the meet, Davidson owned an outdoor PR of 12.41m (40' – 8.75"). Additionally, the effort makes her the third-best outdoor triple jumper in program history.
On the track, the highlight of the day was the 4x100-meter relay where the quartet of sophomore

How it Happened
Track Events
- Senior Jessica Cantrell paced the Dukes in the 1500-meter race with a career-best time of 4:45.63. Junior Mary Milby recorded a PR of 4:53.19 in the same event.
- In the 100-meter hurdles, Davidson finished sixth with a personal-best time of 14.37. Senior Erin Babashak recorded a season-best effort, crossing the finish line in 15.36.
- The Dukes' 400-meter sprinters tore up the track, led by sophomore Holly Mpassy (1st – 54.65), followed by classmate Sofia Lavreshina (2nd – 54.96), freshman Kadence Wilson (4th – 55.66), and senior Arianna Eberly (8th – 57.50).
- Freshman Asia Powell produced a win in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 11.89. Later in the day, Powell ran an electric 24.38 time in the 200-meter dash, tied for the seventh-fastest clip by an individual in the JMU record book.
- Senior Laura Webb captured the 3000-meter crown in 9:42.16, followed closely behind by junior Miranda Stanhope (9:42.67). Those times place them fifth and sixth in program history, respectively.
- Senior Maddy Hesler finished sixth in the 800-meter race with a career-best effort of 2:18.97.
Field Events
- Sophomore Ryann Bennett kicked off the day with a personal-best throw of 38.96m in the hammer throw competition. Fellow sophomore Jaiden Martellucci produced a throw of 45.14m in the finals for eighth overall.
- Next, senior Shelby Staib took first in the javelin with a mark of 42.25m (138' – 7"), while classmate Bethany Biggi earned bronze with a season-best of 33.64m (110' – 4").
- Bennett and Martellucci returned to the cage for the discus where they finished fifth (40.38m) and sixth (38.95m), respectively.
- Senior Erin Babashak tied her personal-best of 5.45m in the long jump competition for fifth.
- Classmate Rachel Lloyd placed third in the pole vault, clearing 3.70m (12' – 1.50").
- In the high jump, senior Alex Kwasnik led the way for the Dukes with a second-place finish at 1.68m (5' – 6"). Her mark ties for the fifth-best height by an individual in school history in the outdoor season.
Relay Events
- JMU wrapped up the day with a runner-up effort in the 4x400-meter relay, as Wilson, Eberly, Lavreshina, and Mpassy ran to a tune of 3:42.09, the second-fastest time by the team this season.
