WEST POINT, Miss. – The James Madison women's golf team concluded the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule with a 15
th-place showing at The Ally on Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman
Isabella Flores paced the Dukes with a 45
th-place finish at the par-72, 6,284 Old Waverly Golf Course. The native of Kingwood, Texas produced a three-round score of 226 (+10) with rounds of 77-75-74, improving her scores every round.
Junior
Maria Atwood (81-76-77) and rookie
Hannah Rabb (74-79-81) each tied for 66th on the 90-player leaderboard with 54-hole scores of 234 (+18).
Lauren Waxer-Gooding finished one stroke behind them at 235 with rounds of 77-79-79.
Tatum Walsh closed out the JMU contingent in Mississippi with a third-round 77 (+5) after tallying rounds of 87 and 76 in her first two rounds.
Avery Weed, the No. 17 ranked golfer in the country, secured an individual crown with a 207 (-9), while No. 45 Florida edged hosts Mississippi State for the team title at 849 (-15).
JMU finished with a three-round score of 922 (+58) at 309-306-307.
