DUKES OPEN THREE-GAME HOMESTAND WITH GEORGE MASON ON BLACK FRIDAY
- James Madison men's basketball is set to begin a three-game homestand as the Dukes will play host to George Mason on Friday, Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. from the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
- This will be the first meeting between the two programs since Nov. 19, 2021, a 67-64 JMU win in Harrisonburg. The programs have met 96 times, with both teams winning 48 times.
- The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Curt Dudley (PxP), Steve Buckhantz (color), and David Hulvey (sideline). It will also air on WSVA 92.1 FM | 550 AM radio and the Varsity Network App with Dave Riggert.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK
- JMU finished the Boardwalk Battle with a 71-65 win over Jax State, capping the week with a 2-1 record in Daytona Beach, Fla.
- Â The Dukes took down UIC 99-81 to open the tournament but fell 73-67 to UC San Diego on Friday, who won the championship.
- Redshirt freshman Bryce Lindsay - named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday - led JMU with 18.7 points per game while shooting 63% (19-30) from the field and 61.9% (13-21) from deep.
- As a team, the Dukes shot 46.9 percent from the field and 41 percent (32-78) from three.
- Against the Gamecocks, Xavier Brown tied a career-high five made threes, finishing 5-9 from deep and with 18 points overall along with four steals. This season, Brown leads JMU with 2.4 steals per game and has had three steals or more four times.
- JMU had a season-low eight turnovers in its win over Jax State.
SCOUTING GEORGE MASON
- George Mason enters this contest with a 4-3 record overall.
- The Patriots are led by Head Coach Tony Skinn, who is in his second season at the helm. A 2006 graduate of George Mason, Skinn spent a season as an assistant coach at Big Ten schools Maryland (2022-23) and Ohio State (2021-22) and also was an assistant at Seton Hall from 2018-21 under Kevin Willard, who he also coached with at Maryland.
- As a player at George Mason from 2003-06, Skinn went 5-1 against JMU.
- In his first season at the helm of his alma mater, he led the Patriots to a 20-12 record and a 9-9 record in Atlantic-10 play, finishing tied for seventh.
- This season, GMU was picked sixth in the preseason conference coaches poll. Senior guard Darious Maddox was the Patriots' lone representative on the Preseason All-Conference teams, as he was named to the Second Team.
- Through seven games, Maddox leads George Mason in scoring (14.9 pts/game). Auburn transfer K.D. Johnson leads the Patriots in assists (2.9/game) while Woody Newton leads GMU in rebounds (5.7/game).
- George Mason is fourth in the A10 in points per game (81.6) and points allowed (64.9). They are holding opponents to a 34.3 field goal percentage, tops in the conference. They are also only allowing opponents to make 26.7 percent of their three-point shots, second in the league.
- The Patriots are also second in the Atlantic 10 in rebounds per game (41) while their rebounding margin of +6.4 is fourth in the conference. However, GMU is averaging 13.6 turnovers per contest, the most in the league.

REIGNITING AN OLD RIVALRY
- In-state foes James Madison and George Mason will square off on Friday, Nov. 29, inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
- This will mark the first matchup between the former CAA rivals since a 67-64 JMU victory on Nov. 19, 2021.
- The teams have played 96 times since 1969-70, the second-most frequent matchup in JMU program history. The two teams are tied at 48 wins apiece.
- George Mason has won eight of the past 10 matchups in the series. The Dukes are 27-18 all-time against the Patriots at home.

BRYCE LINDSAY NAMED SUN BELT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- Redshirt freshman guard Bryce Lindsay paced the Dukes offensively in Daytona Beach at the Boardwalk Battle, finishing with 56 points (18.7/game) while shooting 63 percent (19-30) from the floor and 61.9 percent from deep (13-21).
- Â He scored a career-high 28 points in the tournament opener against UIC - 23 of which came in the first half. He finished the first half a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor with three 3-pointers before finishing with 28. He became the first freshman and 25th NCAA Division I player since 2004-05 to record 25 points with 10 made field goals at 90 percent or better, five 3-pointers, and five rebounds in a single game to help James Madison score a season-high 99 points.
- Through the season's opening weeks, Lindsay is one of five players nationally averaging at least 14 points per game off the bench while shooting 45 percent or greater from three. Lindsay leads the Dukes in made threes (21) and is shooting 48.8 percent from behind the arc this season (21-43).
- Â Lindsay also became the first James Madison player since Vado Morse in January 2022 to hit five 3-pointers in consecutive games, as the guard finished 5-of-6 against UIC and 5-of-9 against UC San Diego.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
- JMU won its first two games inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center in 2024-25 and has now won nine in a row at home and 20 straight home non-conference games.Â
- In 2023-24, JMU averaged 5,280 fans at home and has averaged no less than 4,300 since 2021-22.
- Â Since moving into the arena in 2020, the Dukes are 45-14 overall at home and 18-2 in non-conference games. JMU has also won 15 non-conference games in a row at the AUBC, the last coming on Jan. 3, 2021, to Morgan State (80-73).
- The 20-game non-conference home winning streak is the longest since the Dukes won 21 in a row from 2007-11 under Matt Brady at the Convocation Center.

- Attendees can watch JMU take on Ohio (Nov. 4), George Mason (Nov. 28), App State (Jan. 18), and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 30). The deal runs at $80 for lowered reserved seating and $50 in upper reserved.

Reserved Parking
- All parking pass holders — both Spot-Specific and Reserved — will enter through the North Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck. For those entering through the North Entrance, all parking is reserved and first-come-first-serve. There will be no spot-specific parking available for doubleheaders.
General Parking
- Accessible via the South Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck as well as the adjacent surface lots (C12, D3, and R4), general parking is available beginning two hours before game time. General parking is free of charge, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and cannot be reserved in advance.
