NEW ORLEANS – Redshirt senior
Kendall Turner of James Madison women's golf was named First Team All-Sun Belt, the league announced in a release on Thursday afternoon.
Â
Turner finished her 2023-24 campaign with a tie for 24th at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional, the best finisher for a JMU women's golfer in program history. For the third consecutive season, the native of Chesapeake, Va., broke the program record for stroke average, finishing the season with a mark of 71.93 in 33 rounds.
Â
Throughout the season, Turner posted eight top-10 finishes and was named the Sun Belt Golfer of the Week on three occasions (9/14, 9/29, 3/21). Her high finish came at the Ironwood Invitational, where she earned medalist honors with a second-place finish. Â
Â
The honor marked the third time Turner has been named First Team All-Conference in her career and her fourth overall laurel. It also extended the Dukes' streak of having at least one all-conference selection to seven straight seasons.
