Nick Schlickenrieder, and sophomore
Václav Tichý were all honored by the organization.
In his senior season, D'Aurelle de Paladines broke numerous personal bests, including stroke average (73.80), low round (68, -4), and finish (16th.) The native of Paris, France played in 26 rounds and was also named a JMU Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.
Schlickenrieder, put together another solid season on the course for the Dukes, as the graduate student notched three top-25 finishes, including a tie for 10th at the Streamsong Invitational. He was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators All-District At-Large team.
Tichý was the model of consistency in his sophomore campaign, as he posted a 73.28 stroke average in 32 rounds. He finished solo third at the Carolina Cup and picked up a t-21
st place finish at the 2024 Sun Belt Championship. Off the course, he was also named to the President's List for the spring 2024 semester and was a JMU Athletic Director's Scholar Athlete in both the fall and spring semester.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
