Quoting Head Coach Christy Morgan
"I'm really pleased with our performance today. Leading up to the game, we had an amazing week of practice. We did not execute perfectly the way we practiced – we probably did 80% of that – and we were good enough. The neat thing about this team is that there's more. Every field player got in the game so we put more experience under our belts to be ready for the challenge of our first Mid-American Conference game of the season. We're really excited about that and we built a lot of confidence today."

- JMU went ahead 3-0 early in the third after being granted a penalty stroke that was converted by Roeper.
- On a penalty corner situation, Beers knocked one home from the top of the circle for her first goal of the season with assists from Hill and Ollrogge.
