HARRISONBURG, Va. - The James Madison men's basketball team opens its 2025-26 home schedule with a game against Washington & Lee on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center. The game will stream on ESPN+ with

JMU HOSTS WASHINGTON & LEE FOR HOME OPENER
- James Madison is set to host Washington & Lee on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center for its first home game of the 2025-26 season.
- The Dukes are coming off an 85-71 loss at Akron on Monday in the first leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge
- Washington & Lee will be playing its first game of the 2025-26 season. The Generals finished the 2024-25 season with a 7-18 record and 5-11 mark in ODAC play.

- Wednesday's game will be on ESPN+ with Curt Dudley (PxP), Kirby Dean (analyst), and David Hulvey (sideline).
- The game will also be carried on WSVA 92.1 FM | 550 AM and the Varsity Network App with Dave Riggert, with coverage beginning 30 minutes before tip inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
DUKES FALL TO ZIPS IN SEASON OPENER
- The Dukes opened their season with an 85-71 loss at Akron on Monday, their first loss in a season opener since 2016.
- The Zips forced 19 JMU turnovers and scored 55 points in the second half to pull away for the win. The Dukes squandered a nine-point halftime lead (39-30) and led by as many as 10 (42-32) early in the second half.
- Justin McBride and Cliff Davis each scored 14 points to lead JMU in scoring, as the pair also knocked down four threes each.
- The freshman pair of Preston Fowler and Christian Brown made immediate contributions, as Fowler scored six points and led the Dukes with six boards while Brown led the Dukes with three blocks.
- Brown became the first JMU freshman with three blocks in a game since Jerrell Roberson had three against Valley Forge on Nov. 7, 2022.
- Redshirt junior Paul Lewis scored 12 points and led the Dukes with five assists off the bench, while Bradley Douglas chipped in 11 points.
DUKES' HISTORY IN HOME OPENERS
- Dating back to the 2000 season, JMU is 20-5 in home openers inside the Convocation Center (2000-2020) and the Atlantic Union Bank Center (2020-pres)
- The Dukes last loss in a home opener came on Nov. 13, 2016 to the hands of Rice (94-70).
- JMU is 5-0 in home openers at the Atlantic Union Bank Center, dating back to 2020-21.
LOCKING DOWN THE BANK
- The Atlantic Union Bank Center has been the home of James Madison men's and women's basketball since the 2020-21 season. In that span, the JMU men are 57-16 (.780) at home and 22-5 (.814) against Sun Belt opponents. JMU finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 13-2 record inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center, only losing to Georgia Mason (66-61) on Nov. 29 and App State (58-50) on Jan. 18.
- In 2023-24, JMU finished 14-1 at home, its only loss coming to App State (59-55) on Jan. 13, 2024.
- Since the Atlantic Union Bank Center opened in 2020, the Dukes are also 27-3 against non-conference opponents. The loss to George Mason was JMU's first at home against a non-conference team since Jan. 3, 2021 against Morgan State (80-73).

- General Parking is located in the adjacent surface lots (C12, D3, and R4) as well as the South Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck. General parking is available beginning two (2) hours before game time. General parking is free of charge, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
