ORLANDO, Fla. –Â
Holly Mpassy (400m) and
Jordyn Henderson (100H) of James Madison track & field set program records on the final day of UCF's Black and Gold Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Mpassy, who entered the meet with a school-record time of 54.36 in the 400-meter dash, produced an effort of 53.79. Elsewhere on the track, Henderson registered a 13.60 clip to pass the previous program record of 13.75, set by
Davida Walker in 1992.
In the 4x100-meter relay,
Kyndal Turner,
Kaia Putman, Mpassy and
Faith Fuqua clocked in at 45.76, good to tie for third in the JMU record book. Later, the quartet of
Kam'Dyn Thomas,
Kadence Wilson,
Christine Fitzgerald and Mpassy finished ninth in 3:45.93.
