HARRISONBURG, Va. – For the third time over the last five weeks, the James Madison doubles tandem of
Brooklyn Hoffmann and
Sophie Williams have been voted Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.

The duo is fresh off a 3-0 weekend at the top doubles spot, in which they clinched the doubles point in two of three matches. That helped the Dukes win all three bouts at home against Richmond (7-0), VCU (4-3) and Towson (6-1).

The two opened the weekend Saturday with a 6-3 clinching victory against Richmond's Sofia Barbulescu and Abby Lee.

In Sunday's doubleheader, they clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 triumph over VCU's Sofia Jane Thorne and Andrea Magallanes. Later in the day, Hoffmann and Williams did not concede a single game in a 6-0 rout of Towson's Chandre Boshoff and Kiersten Tambe.

This spring, the tandem is 7-3 at the #1 doubles spot.

JMU returns to action this weekend for a pair of matches in Williamsburg, Va., as they take on host William & Mary on Friday, March 6 at 2 p.m., followed by a neutral-site match with Drexel on Saturday, March 7 at noon.
