HARRISONBURG, Va. – Marshall scored a run in every inning but two, as James Madison baseball fell, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Dukes' record dropped to 19-26 (9-14 Sun Belt), while the Thundering Herd improved to 21-25 (11-12 Sun Belt).

At the plate, sophomore Jack Anderson and freshman Ryan Gocio each went 2-for-3 to lead the team.

First Inning
The Herd jumped on the board first, scoring a run on a single into center field.

Second Inning
Jack Smith homered out of the nine-hole spot in the lineup to give MU a 2-0 lead.

Third Inning
Marshall doubled the score with a run scoring on a fielder's choice and a single from Smith to make it 4-0.

A sacrifice fly allowed the Herd to increase their lead to five.
