QUEBEC CITY – Former James Madison pitcher
Patrick Bauer has inked a professional contract with the Québec Capitales of the Frontier League.
The Capitales have won the most championships out of all independent baseball teams, having won the last four consecutive Frontier League titles. They currently sit atop the standings with a 25-7 record.
Bauer played his final year of a five-year collegiate career with JMU, making 18 appearances with 10 starts. He pitched 54.0 innings, while striking out 45 opposing hitters. He earned one win and had a 5.83 ERA.
His career tallies stand at a 28-15 record with a 4.06 ERA as he logged 285.2 innings pitched across 69 appearances (49 starts). He pitched five complete games with two shutouts in a career that included time at CCBC Catonsville and Frostburg, while striking out 310 batters to the tune of a 2.84 K/BB ratio. The righty earned Division II All-American honors in the 2025 season at Frostburg.
