NEWARK, Del., Oct. 16 -- Delaware scored the only goal of the match early in the second half to defeat James Madison 1-0 in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer Sunday at Delaware Mini-Stadium.
Senior Jennifer Krepps scored her first goal of the season 2:14 into the second half on a penalty kick. The kick was set up when Delaware's Alli D'Amico was taken down in the right side of the goal box. Krepps then blasted her shot low inside the right post, beating Dukes' senior goalkeeper Jessica Hussey (Kanata, Ontario/Holy Trinity).
Hussey made three saves in a losing effort for the Dukes. Lindsey Shover made six saves to post her fourth shutout of the season and 18th of her career at Delaware. Shover's biggest save was on a shot by JMU junior Sarah Cebulski (Manotick, Ontario/St. Mark's) with less than 10 seconds remaining to preserve the win for the Hens.
