NEWARK, Del., Oct. 7, 2007 -- James Madison (3-0-1, 10-1-1) escaped with a 3-2 women's soccer win over Delaware (1-3-0, 5-6-0) in Colonial Athletic Association play Sunday afternoon.
The Blue Hens took an early lead on a goal by junior Caitlyn Germain (Auburn, Mass./St. Peter-Marian) just 5:01 into the match. Â The Dukes, however, quickly struck back as sophomore Corky Julien (Williamstown, Ontario/Char-Lan District) found the net just 21 seconds later.
Senior Annie Lowry (Butler, Pa./Butler) scored two second-half goals to push JMU ahead 3-1. Her first score came on a shot in the 55th minute into the upper left corner of the goal and was assisted by freshman Cate Tisinger (Clifton, Va./Centreville).
