4x800 Relay Takes Fifth at ECAC Track & Field Meet

PRINCETON, N.J., May 12, 2013 -- James Madison's 4x800 meter relay team turned in a fifth-place finish Sunday at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships hosted by Princeton.
The quartet of sophomore Kristen Landry(Boonton Township, N.J./Mountain Lakes), senior Annie Reiner(Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes), sophomore Morgan Sheaffer(New Bloomfield, Pa./West Perry) and sophomore KelseyLangton (Hamilton Square, N.J./Notre Dame H.S.) was clocked in 8 minutes, 54.48 seconds.
The JMU team's time was the seventh-fastest in school history.
Fordham won the relay title with a winning time of 8:46.25.
Dukes freshman Adrienne Alexander (Queens, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin)placed 14th in the shot put with a distance of 13.39 meters (43'11 1/4"). Connecticut senior Victoria Flowers took first with a put of 16.59 meters (54'5 1/4"),
JMU compiled six points in the meet and finished tied for 37th among 54 scoring teams. Connecticut won the team title with 73 points, 20 more than second-place Maryland-Eastern Shore's 53.
