PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Running in their fourth and final race of the weekend, sophomore
Aereale Scott, junior
Annie Johnson, freshman
Meredith Willis and junior
Kennedy King ran a 1:38.66 in the 4x200-meter relay to conclude competition at the 2016 Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field on Saturday.
The team posted a season-best 1:39.70 on Friday to place 18th and advance to the ECAC finals, only to surpass it with the fourth-fastest mark in James Madison women's track & field program history. Scott, Johnson, Willis and King now own a spot on the all-time top-10 lists for both the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relays.
The regular season was one of great success and steady improvement for the Dukes, but now they advance to the postseason as the 2016 Colonial Athletic Association Championships kick off on Friday, May 6 in Elon, N.C.
