Â
HOW WE GOT HERE
- Sophomore Lisa Lejeune got the scoring started just 1:09 into the game, deflecting a pass by Florien Sondern into the upper right corner.
- Senior Melanie Kusakavitch tallied the second and eighth goals of the day, deflecting in a pass from junior Miranda Rigg off a steal by senior McKenzie Ridgely as well as deflecting in another pass from Sondern on a corner.
- Senior Hannah Hall scored the third, fourth and sixth goals of the afternoon. Her first came off a redirect from junior Corey Mayer while her second came from the left side as she shelved it between the outstretched hands of the Hofstra keeper. Her third came off a shot from outside the circle that bounced off the goalie's pads and into the cage.
- Hall contributed to sophomore Alicia Cooperman's second-half goal that went straight under the Hofstra goalkeeper.
- Sophomore Emilly Schutt made a running move in the 55th minute of action straight in front of the cage to score the first goal of her JMU career.

HALL'S HELPERS
With her assist on Cooperman's goal, Hannah Hall has 25 career assists and 10 for the season, a career high for the senior. She needs three more dishes to crack the JMU all-time top-10 for assists.
Â
KUSAKAVITCH'S STRETCH
Melanie Kusakavitch has scored in five consecutive games, the longest streak by any Duke this season. This is also the longest streak since Loes Stijntjes (JMU '15) scored in the opening five games of the 2014 season when Kusakavitch was a freshman.
Â
CONSTANT IN THE CAGE
Senior Sara Kraeutler earned the 36th win of her career Sunday. She has played 3659:51 minutes in the cage, the sixth-most in JMU history and just over 24 minutes away from jumping into the top five all-time. She also has made 241 career saves, which ranks 10th in JMU history.
