RICHMOND, Va. – James Madison men's tennis stumbled 4-0 at Richmond on Tuesday in nonconference action.
The Dukes (11-8, 2-1 CAA) battled with the Spiders (23-2, 5-0 A10) in doubles as the two split the first two decisions. With the initial point coming down to the No. 1 position, junior Theophile Lanthiez and freshman Paul Mendoza went to work against Alexandre Felisa and Jacob Dunbar, but fell 7-6(7) in the tiebreak.
Senior Sebastian Salinas and freshman Damon Roberts claimed the victory for the Dukes at No. 2 doubles, sinking Caleb Troy and Jonathan Quenard 6-2. The JMU duo has won five consecutive doubles duals and sits at 6-1 at the No. 2 position.
Richmond, which stretched its win streak to 22 consecutive matches, then swept the first three singles decisions to clinch the match. The remaining singles contests were left unfinished.

The Dukes close out the road portion of the regular season in Pennsylvania this weekend. They head to Villanova on Friday, April 14 for a 3 p.m. match before traveling to Drexel for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, April 15.
