QUOTING COACH STEVE SECORD
I don't think there's as big of a disparity between the teams as there has been in the past -- we are closing the gap. It's knowing what to do when we are up in sets and even up in games. We have to learn to carry momentum at the right time and that's tough. Virginia Tech is a good team and if you give those guys any ground they'll take advantage. but we need to trust ourselves and do the right things at the right time. Matches like these are good for us because every in-conference match is going to be a battle. I want us coming out of the gate in doubles with good energy is a major key and we're still figuring out how to do that on all three courts. You live and learn, and now it's time to get ready for Hampton.
