NORMAN, Okla. - After stellar seasons on the course, junior
Ignacio Montero and sophomore
Nick Schlickenrieder have each been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Montero continued to build on his stellar career during his junior season, carding a 72.05 scoring average for the season, second-lowest on the team and the fourth-lowest single-season average in program history. The performance improved his career scoring average to 72.47, the third-lowest mark in the Dukes' record books.

Schlickenrieder took a leap in his second collegiate season, dropping his scoring average by 1.75 strokes to 73.25 in 2019-20 and securing a consistent spot in the Dukes' starting lineup. He matched the team high with three top-10 finishes, highlighted by a t-5th finish at the Intercollegiate at Innisbrook and a 210 (-6) performance that tied him for eighth at the VCU Invitational to open the season.

The pair mark the seventh and eighth All-America Scholars in program history, while the Dukes have now had at least one player named to the list for three consecutive seasons.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team's competitive rounds
