Dukes Earn GCAA Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. – James Madison men's golf received the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award on Wednesday, earning the distinction for the seventh time in eight seasons.
JMU is one of 88 Division I schools to finish with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2025-26 academic season, earning Presidents Special Recognition.
This distinction comes two days after five Dukes were named GCAA Cobalt All-American Scholars: Rene Bergendi, Jonas DeLeon, Michael Hake, Alex Seibal, and Vaclav Tichy. JMU was one of 23 teams in Division I to have five or more recipients of the award. The Dukes finished with a team GPA of 3.505 in the spring semester.
A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. 155 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2025-26.
