HARRISONBURG, Va. – A pair of James Madison women's soccer student-athletes scored to help lead the Dukes to a 2-1 victory over Delaware on Senior Day at Sentara Park, as they will now be the three seed in the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.

The Dukes now are 9-8-1 overall and 6-3 in league play as they have now won four straight to conclude the regular season. The Blue Hens fall to 5-11-2, 2-5-2 CAA.

JMU was able to take their first lead of the game in the 38
th minute, as
Lexi Vanderlinden was able to find the back of the net for the third time this season.
Ellie Johnson brough the ball down the near sideline before firing a cross to Vanderlinden inside the box, who then took a few dribbles and buried the shot into the right corner.

The Dukes took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break, but it wouldn't last long into the second half as Delaware scored the equalizer in the 61
st minute off of a free kick. The match looked like it would head to overtime as the teams continued to battle until
Amanda Attanasi sent a pass to
Ginger Deel about 10 yards out who was able to give the Dukes the lead back at 2-1. The defense held their ground for the remainder of the half to give JMU the 2-1 Senior Day win.

Deel, Vanderlinden, and
Iris Rabot all pitched in two shots a piece, while goalkeeper
Alexandra Blom made six saves on the day. It is the seventh match of the season for Blom where she recorded six shots.
