- James Madison will play the third of four straight home games on Thursday, battling Drexel at the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
- After dropping back-to-back contests earlier in the week, the Dukes ended last week's slate with a 95-94 home victory on Saturday against College of Charleston. Redshirt junior Vado Morse dropped a career-high 32 points in the win, including 21 in the first half, making a career-high 13 free throws and adding five triples during the contest.
- The Dukes have been no stranger to close games in 2021-22, as they have played 10 games decided by five or fewer points, going 8-2 in those contests. The eight victories by five points or less is the most since the 2012-13 season.
- Morse leads the JMU offensive attack with 14.7 points per game and has 20 or more points in five of his six league games.
