LYNCHBURG, Va. – The James Madison track & field team recorded three first-place finishes Wednesday afternoon at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Shelby Staib won the javelin with her throw of 148' 9" (45.34m).
-In the high jump,
Alex Kwasnik cleared the bar at 5' 3.75" (1.62m) to win the event.
Bethany Biggi also recorded a mark of 5' 3.75" (1.62m) to finish second.

Maddy Hesler was the first to cross the finish line in the 3000m steeplechase with her time of 11:28.19.

Ryann Bennett finished sixth in the discus with her personal-best and ECAC-qualifying mark of 141' 03" (43.05m). Her throw sits at sixth in JMU history.

Skyla Davidson finished third in the long jump with her wind-aided mark of 18' 8.75" (5.71m). She also finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 39' 11.25" (12.17m).
-In the hammer throw,
Danielle Little finished fourth after throwing for a personal-best 162' 5" (49.50m). Her mark ranks fourth on the Dukes' all-time top 10 list for the event.

Jaiden Martellucci also recorded a personal best in the hammer throw with her mark of 153' 1" (46.66m). She sits at sixth all-time in JMU history.
-In the 100m dash,
Lauren Smith finished fifth with a personal-best time of 12.36.

Holly Mpassy finished second in the 400m with her time of 55.15.

Jordyn Henderson finished third in the 100m hurdles with a wind-aided time of 13.95.
-In the 200m dash,
Dardlie Lefevre ran a 24.77 to finish fourth.
