MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – James Madison track & field moved into third place with 52.5 points after day two of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Duke still leads with 122 points, followed by Coastal Carolina (68 points) in second.

Track Events
- Freshman Asia Powell excelled in her outdoor collegiate debut, clocking in at 11.70 in the preliminary race. For Powell, her preliminary time makes her the second-fastest 100-meter sprinter in school history behind Tanique Carter (11.68). In the final, the freshman finished eighth with an 11.74 clip.
- In the same event, sophomore Virginia Keys produced a PR of 12.10.
Field Events
- Senior Rachel Lloyd won the Pole Vault A flight, clearing 3.70 meters (12' - 1.5") for first. Junior teammate Erica Moolman tied for fourth at 3.35 meters.
- Senior Isabella Bogdan recorded a career-best long jump of 5.20 meters.
