MOBILE, Ala. – James Madison couldn't find into a rhythm, as South Alabama earned a 7-0 Sun Belt Conference men's tennis victory on Sunday afternoon at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
The Jaguars moved to 9-6 on the year and 2-0 in Sun Belt action, while the Dukes fell to 7-6 and 0-2.
South Alabama controlled the pace throughout, winning two matches in doubles and claiming five of its six singles bouts in straight sets.
Youssef Sadek was the lone Duke to win a singles set, but eventually fell in an extended super tiebreak.

Doubles Play
- USA grabbed the 1-0 match lead with wins on courts two and three.
- The team of Martin Bugaj and Sebastien Collard rallied from down 3-0 to defeat Julian Lozano and Edson Sanchez, 6-3.
- The Jaguars clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win by Louis Delcour and Javier Montoya against Aathreya Mahesh and Sadek.
Singles Play
- Montoya doubles USA's lead to 2-0 on court five, as he downed Sanchez, 6-3, 6-2.
- At the top singles spot, Collard defeated Holden Koons in straight sets, at 6-1, 6-3.
- The Jaguars clinched the match over on court six, where Juan Accosatto beat Mahesh, 7-6 (0), 6-2.
- South Alabama added to the lead on court four, with Jack Clements edging Francisco Sinopoli in a second-set tiebreak to earn a 6-0, 7-6 (8) triumph.
- USA closed the match with two more wins on courts two and three. Maxime St-Hilaire took a 6-4, 6-2 decision from Lozano, while Delcour won a thrilling super tiebreaker to down Sadek, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10).
