RALEIGH, N.C. – James Madison track & field saw three student-athletes record top-8 finishes, including one event title, on day one of the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track Facility.
How It Happened
- Junior Erica Moolman opened the day with a victory in the pole vault competition, clearing 3.65m (11' – 11.75") on her second attempt, a season-best height.
- Senior teammate Rachel Lloyd reached 3.70m (12' – 1.5") to tie for sixth in the pole vault invitational, tying her season-best mark.
- Classmate Shelby Staib placed eighth in the javelin competition with a launch of 46.45m (152' – 4"). For Staib, she's thrown over 45 meters in nine of her last 10 meets.
