BRIDGEPORT, W.Va - The James Madison men's golf team finished play at the Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, taking home fourth place at the Pete Dye Golf Club.
Sigurður Blumenstein paced the Dukes with a tie for 12
th in a field of 91 players on the par-72, 7,308-yard layout. The senior carded a three-round score of 218 (+2) with rounds of 74-70-74. The 2-under 70 in the second round matched his previous career-low round.
Alexandre d'Aurelle de Paladines secured a tie for 16th while posting three rounds of 73 (+1) to finish with a 54-hole aggregate of 219 (+3).
Daniel Cheng (74-75-73) and
Václav Tichý (72-74-76) each tied for 29
th, bringing home three-round scores of 222 (+6).
Nick Schlickenrieder (223, +7) and
Owen Kose (224, +8) rounded out the Dukes contingent in West Virginia, as Schlickenrieder carded rounds of 74-74-75 while Kose managed a 77-76 before closing play with a 1-under 71.

JMU travels to The Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss., for the 2024 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championships. The tournament will run from April 22-25.
