GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six James Madison student-athletes were selected to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team in lacrosse's
Maggie Clark,
Kacey Knobloch and
Katelyn Morgan, field hockey's
Mia Julian and
Cassidy Strittmatter and women's golf's
Amelia Williams.

This is the second career CSC honor for Morgan, who was named to the team in 2023, while it's the first for each of the other five awardees. Additionally, Morgan has been selected for advancement to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration.

Clark is a junior with one year of eligibility left but has already garnered two degrees, graduating with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology while just graduating with a MAT in education this past spring. In her first year as a starter in the midfield, Clark posted 11 goals on 33 shots (33%) while adding seven assists for 18 points. She also added 21 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Knobloch is also a double graduate from JMU, earning her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and a MAT in education. Knobloch capped off her career with the Dukes ranking eighth all-time in assists (76) and 15th in points (181). In her sixth and final season with the program, she as a Second Team All-American Athletic Conference selection and named to the AAC All-Tournament Team. The team captain scored 29 goals with a 43% shooting percentage while adding 29 assists for 58 points.

Morgan was one of JMU's valedictorians and graduated with a 4.0 GPA with a bachelor's degree in general psychology. As a senior, she scored 32 goals with 35 assists for 67 points while putting together a 43% shooting percentage. A two-time JMU Casey Carter Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Morgan was a 2024 IWLCA Second Team All-South Region and First Team All-AAC selection. She finished her career ranking fifth all-time at JMU in assists (106) and tied for 12th in points (193).

Julian graduated from JMU with a bachelor's degree in health sciences with a pre-med minor. A two-year starter, Julian had a breakout season in 2023, scoring eight goals and a team-leading eight assists to finish with a team-high tying 24 points. She netted two game-winning goals for JMU. Entering her final season in 2024, Julian has eight career goals and 11 career assists. She has one year of eligibility remaining, entering this fall as a redshirt senior.

Strittmatter, a marketing major, has been a three-year starter, making starts in all but 10 of her 53 appearances. The midfielder scored three goals during the 2023 season while starting 16 of 17 games. For her career, she has nine goals and three assists for 21 points with a pair of game-winning goals. In addition to athletics, Strittmatter has served as a communications officer in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Williams just graduated from JMU with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. A four-year member of the lineup, Williams competed in every event as a senior in 2023-24, putting together a career-best average of 73.43. She notched four top-10 finishes, including a third-place showing at the Nittany Lion Invitational. She was also JMU's low scorer at the Sun Belt Conference Championship. In her career, she was a 2021 First Team All-CAA and Second Team All-State honoree, while also medaling at the 2022 River Landing Classic.
