BLACKSBURG, Va. – James Madison track & field started the New Year strong with three top-three finishes and one top-three program mark on day one of the Virginia Tech inside Rector Fieldhouse.

Erica Moolman recorded a career-best leap of 3.71m (12-2), good for second in program history. On the track, Sidney Walters highlighted the first day of competition for the Dukes with a victory in the unseeded mile, crossing the finish line in 5:08.26.
