HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's soccer's unbeaten streak came to an end after dropping a match to South Alabama at Sentara Park, 2-0, in Friday night Sun Belt action.
The Dukes fall to 7-4-5 (3-2-3 SBC) on the campaign as the Jaguars improve to 9-3-2 (5-1-2 SBC). Sofia Mastracci was South Alabama's goal scorer, netting the first of her career. The JMU offense was led by Jeanette Fieldsend and Ginny Lackey with three and two shots apiece.
Lili White and Sofia DeCerb split time in goal, playing the first and second halves, respectively. DeCerb made one save.
Quote from Head Coach Joshua Walters, Sr.
"South Alabama was a good side and showed their quality in the game. I still think we could've managed some things better, but to me, the balance of the game was in midfield. We use this to look forward to how we're going to break down Georgia State."
