HARRISONBURG, Va. – The seniors of James Madison track & field notched three event titles and a pair of top-10 program efforts at Sentara Park on Saturday at the JMU Invite.

Senior
Jaiden Martellucci won the first flight of the hammer throw at 46.12m (151-3) and set a personal best of 47.32m (155-3) on her fifth attempt – good for fifth in program history. Classmate
Ryann Bennett moved into fourth in the JMU record book in the discus at 44.25m (145-2), placing fifth overall. Also in the field,
Erica Moolman cleared 3.90m (12-9.5) for a victory in the pole vault.

The 4x100-meter relay crew of seniors
Kaia Putman and
Holly Mpassy, and freshmen
Faith Fuqua and
Kyndal Turner ran to a tune of 46.13 for the win.

Elsewhere on the track, senior
Jordyn Henderson earned the 60-meter hurdles crown with a time of 13.87, while
Kam'Dyn Thomas went 14.79 for seventh.

How It Happened
- Sofia Terenziani finished second in the 800-meter race in a career-best 2:13.89.
- In the 3,000 meters, Sidney Walters went 10:10.92 for second – the fastest time by a collegiate athlete in the competition.
- Fellow distance runner Izzy Greene finished runner-up in her first collegiate steeplechase, coming in at 11:27.82. Teammate Deanna Baumann placed fifth in 11:45.84.
- Mpassy paced the Dukes in the 200-meter dash in 24.37 (+4.0) for second, followed by Putman (4th – 24.50 (+2.9)) and Fuqua (5th – 24.54 (+2.9)).
- Putman recorded a wind-aided effort of 11.65 (+4.1) in the 100-meter dash for third.
- Madelyn Moles produced a season-best jump of 3.65m (11-11.75) for bronze in the pole vault.
- Madison Greene took fourth in the triple jump at 11.49m (37-8.5)Â and seventh in the long jump with a PR of 5.32m (17-5.5)
- Following her performance in the discus, Bennett rounded out the top five of the shot put with a throw of 12.65m (41-6).
- Darian Harris cruised to a time of 1:04.52 for sixth in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Martellucci tied her season-best of 41.29m (135-5) in the discus for seventh.
