HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison men's golf program signed Kentucky transfer
Michael Hake to an aid agreement on Sunday morning, Head Coach
Carter Cheves announced.
Hake, who played the first two years of his collegiate career at Kentucky, will have two seasons to play at JMU. The native of Brentwood, Tenn., competed in 14 tournaments and 38 rounds during his time with the Wildcats, amassing a stroke average of 75.24.

- Has played in 38 rounds over two seasons, accumulating a stroke average of 75.24
- Tied for third at the inaugural Cullan Brown Collegiate with a 54-hole total of 219 (+6) on Oct. 8, the best finish of his career
- Fired a career-low 69 (-3) in the second round of the Steelwood Collegiate (Oct. 26)
- In the summer of 2024, competed in seven tournaments, including second round of U.S. Open Qualifier
High School:
- Ranked inside the top 300 internationally, No. 150 in the class of 2023, and sixth in the state of Tennessee on Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Qualified for the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur at Bandon Dunes
- Four victories on the 2022 Sneds Tour
- Played in three state championships for Ravenwood High
