HARRISONBURG, Va. –
Erica Moolman highlighted the first day of the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship for James Madison with a school-record clearance of 4.01m (13-1.75) in the pole vault for bronze on Thursday night at Sentara Park.
Moolman improved from her previous-best of 3.92m (12-10.25), set earlier this year at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting. Additionally, this marks the second time the graduate student has medaled at a Sun Belt Championship meet, having earned bronze at last year's outdoor meet at a height of 3.72m (12-2.5).
Through four events scored, South Alabama leads the women's teams with 37 points, followed by Texas State (35), Louisiana (27). JMU sits in seventh with six points after the third-place finish in the pole vault.
