Garrett Kuhla and
Václav Tichý were both selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
This is the second straight year Tichý has been honored with the award, while Kuhla earned it for the first time in his career.
Kuhla, a communication studies major, played in 31 rounds for the Dukes in 2024-25, posting a 74.13 stroke average. He tied the program low versus par at the Virtues Intercollegiate, firing an -8 (64). Kuhla was third on the team with 86 birdies and par four scoring (4.186).
Tichý, a quantitative finance major, was a Second Team All-Sun Belt honoree in 2024-25 who led the team with a 71.50 stroke average. That mark was the third lowest in single-season program history. Playing in all 11 events and 32 rounds, Tichý shot a program-record 62 (-8) at the JT Poston Intercollegiate and turned in five top-10 finishes and four inside the top five. His 119 birdies this year were third most in single-season history.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a sophomore or older and have competed in a specific percentage of events during their respective seasons.
