NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the recipients of the 2024-25 PLATFORM Team Academic Award on Tuesday, with James Madison men's golf notching the achievement for the sixth time in seven years.
JMU is one of 167 Division I schools to finish with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher in the 2024-25 school year. The Dukes posted a cumulative GPA of 3.495 in the spring semester, just shy of the 3.50 required for President's Special Recognition.
The Dukes open the 2025-26 campaign in just over a month at the Whirlwind Invitational in Phoenix.  Václav Tichý – who finished with a 71.50 stroke average in 2024-25 - headlines a strong group of six returners who tied for fifth at the Sun Belt Championship in April.
