LYNCHBURG, Va. - James Madison women's tennis wrapped up a weekend of competition at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship, finishing with ten wins at Liberty Tennis Complex.

Three players competed in the singles main draw for the Dukes, with Ariel Avidan advancing to the round of 32 and Sierra Vagi advancing to the round of 16.

Brooklyn Hoffmann went 2-0 in qualifying, registering two set wins over Virginia Tech's Laima Frosch (6-4, 6-4) and Norfolk State's Yana Klimchuk (6-3, 6-1). Corinna Rietmann also defeated Mount St. Mary's Venus Tang (6-1, 6-3) in the first round, along with Anna Kantor defeating George Washington's Madison Lee (6-4, 6-2) in a consolation match.

In the main draw, Vagi opened with a strong three-set victory over fifth-seeded Emma Ghirardato of Maryland, winning 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, while Avidan won against Virginia Tech's Madeleine Rexroat, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. In the round of 32, Vagi rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Richmond's Madeline Kroupetski to advance to the round of 16 before falling to Virginia's Alyssa James, 5-7, 1-6. Hoffmann also earned a consolation win against Georgetown's Emily Novikov (6-3, 6-4)

In doubles action, Hoffmann and Ariel Avidan opened with an 8-3 victory over George Washington's Solange Skeene and Victoria Sasinka to advance to the round of 32. The duo then followed with an 8-2 win over Georgetown's Emily Novikov and Natasha Kavarana before falling to Marshall's Polina Gumeniuk and Isabella Walker, 5-8, in the following round.

JMU will return to action in Rome, Georgia, at the ITA Conference Masters, which takes place on Nov. 5 through Nov. 8.
